A family with an ever-expanding passion
for landscaping since 1993

The beginnings

In 1992, young Dominique Filion decided to start his own business, armed with a single and modest lawn mower, but a whole lot of ambition and vision. One of his earliest known photos taken as a 15 month old toddler shows him at the wheel of a lawn tractor in his grandfather Gérard’s estate… A testimony to his long-standing, unwavering, passion for the outdoors.  From one contract to the next, the company has continued to expand and flourish, owing to Dominique’s rigor and meticulous attention to detail.

Our Ever-Expanding
Family and Services

Four years later, in 1996, Dominique’s mother Johanne joined the team. With a background in fashion and design, she helped define and refine the company’s artistic and creative style by integrating architectural considerations into every project. In 2000, Catherine, Dominique’s sister, embarked on the adventure after studying public relations at McGill University, contributing her expertise in marketing, administration and customer service to the team. Over the years, the company has broadened its scope to include professional services for large-scale corporate projects.

Meet our Directors

Dominique Filion
President et fonder
An idea in the landscape

Dominique certainly didn’t suspect he would become president of his landscaping business when the photo of him, riding a lawn tractor on his father’s lap, was taken in 19? Several years later, as Dominique worked as a peddler distributing the newspaper La Press, customers approached him to inquire whether he could mow their lawns and maintain their yards. It was then that the idea of establishing his own business began to bloom in Dominique’s mind.

In 1993, with the support of a loan secured by his grandfather and business mentor Gérard Filion, Dominique officially launched the company from his parents’ garage, equipped with only a handful of lawn mowers, a great deal of determination, and a touch of naiveté 😉

Bolstered by its success, the company moved to St-Basile-Le-Grand in 1997 and started offering an ever-expanding range of services. From then on, the enterprise began its rise to the top ranks, becoming one of Quebec and Canada’s  most trusted and acclaimed master landscapers.

Business is sport!

From an early age, Dominique has been a passionate mountain biker. Despite suffering from Crohn’s disease, Dominique’s hard work and determination earned him a place among the world’s top mountain bikers, culminating in a world championship participation in 1992.
Much like in business, mountain biking is all about ascending and descending, with obstacles and successes, highs and lows. The qualities Dominique has inherited from his years of competitive cycling include resilience, discipline, and striving to continually surpass and surprise himself. He takes this ethos learned in the world of sports and carries it beyond, to the world of business.

The big leagues.

Today, Dominique leads a company with over 125 employees. With a vision rooted in inclusiveness, respect and authenticity, the company never ceases to inspire awe with original creations in tune with the distinctive architectural style of its residences. The many awards received throughout the years are testament to this success.
